Support the project: donations and sponsorship
Everything on this site is free to read and free to reuse (CC BY-SA). No ads, no trackers, no paywall, and there will not be any. But every number here was measured on real hardware, at home, over many evenings: graphics cards, disks, electricity, and the time to write it all down twice, in French and in English.
What your support pays for. New tutorials, the hardware to test them honestly (we only publish what we measured), the hosting of this site and of its tools, and the time to answer your questions.
Donate
We use Liberapay, a non-profit platform run by a French association, funded by its own users' donations: it takes no commission on what you give (the payment processor's own fees still apply). You choose an amount, weekly, monthly or yearly, and you can stop at any time.
Even a small recurring amount matters more than a one-off: it lets us plan the next hardware test and the next series.
Sponsor
A company, a school, a hosting provider or a hardware maker who wants to support sovereign, open tutorials: we offer clear, honest credit on the tutorials you help fund, never a sponsored opinion. Benchmarks stay benchmarks. Write to us from the help page.
Other ways to help
- Share a tutorial that helped you: that is how others find it.
- Tell us what failed for you: a trap you met is the next tutorial's best paragraph.
- Hire us to set it up with you, on your own hardware (see help).
Thank you. Every contribution goes into the next tutorial.
